Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman are officially back for the Sherlock New Years special! After not airing since early 2014, the special promises to be very popular among avid Sherlock fans. Don’t miss the chance to sponsor Sherlock season 4 and the New Years special on PBS!
The new episode bridges the third and fourth seasons and comes on the heels of a major cliffhanger. Season 3 ended with an allusion to the return of Sherlock’s arch nemesis, Moriarty. Moriarty was thought to have died at Sherlock’s feet after committing suicide at the end of season 2, but re-appeared in the last episode. Moriarty taunted Sherlock from every television screen in England with a clip of himself asking, “Did you miss me?”
Did Moriarty trick Sherlock into thinking that he killed himself? Is this some type of postmortem prank? Is a new villain impersonating Moriarty to get to Sherlock? Millions will watch the special and season 4 of Sherlock to find out!
