Pop Culture Happy Hour is a twice-weekly entertainment and pop culture podcast from NPR featuring lively discussions about books, movies, music, television, comics and pretty much anything else that strikes a nerve. The weekly roundtable is hosted by Linda Holmes, writer and editor of NPR’s pop culture blog Monkey SeeRegular panelists include NPR Music editor Stephen Thompson and writer and comic book expert Glen Wheldon. Spotlight on Linda Holmes

Linda Holmes, host of Pop Culture Happy Hour, is also writer and editor of NPR’s entertainment and pop-culture blog, Monkey See.

Holmes was a writer and editor at Television Without Pity, where she recapped several hundred hours of programming — including both High School Musical movies, for which she did not receive hazard pay. Since 2003, she has been a contributor to MSNBC.com, where she has written about books, movies, television and pop-culture miscellany.

Holmes’ work has also appeared on Vulture, in TV Guide and in many, many legal documents.
